Privacy

Neveoh B.V. (details above) is responsible for the personal data used on this site. We use as little as we can, and only for the reasons below.

What we use, and why

  • Orders. For the e-book and online reading: your email address and, if you give it, your name. For the paperback also your shipping address and, if you give it, your phone number. We need these to deliver and to send you a receipt. Legal basis: the agreement with you.
  • Payments. You pay through Mollie. Mollie handles your payment details; we only receive the status of the payment and the order details we sent along.
  • Printing and shipping. For a paperback, we pass your name, shipping address and phone number to our print partner Peecho, which prints the book and hands it to a carrier. Your email address is not shared with them.
  • Emails. Order emails are sent through Postmark.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we keep your email address at Buttondown to send you new cases. Legal basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Bulk requests. If you ask for a quote, we use the details you enter to reply.

Cookies and statistics

The site sets one functional cookie, and only after you have paid for online reading: it remembers on your device that the book is open to you. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored in your own browser. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we count visits, we do it with GoatCounter, without cookies and without storing personal data.

Where your data is

The site runs at DigitalOcean in Amsterdam. Some of our providers (DigitalOcean, Postmark, Buttondown) are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order data, including name and address, is kept for 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it. Your newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or receive it in a usable form. Write to [email protected]. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
